TOTAL Meltdown

Standard

Munchkin thought we would have a battle of wills tonight. I won. *whew*

After an hour and a half of screeching, wailing and much knashing of teeth, she finally wore out and I was able to go in and say bedtime prayers.

Oh, my ears are ringing. If she isn’t a first soprano, I’ll eat my hat. I think I’m going to put in Pride & Prejudice (because the music is soft and pretty) and work on going to sleep.

  1. My first had a will of iron! At nearly 3 she went through a stage where she would scream at bedtime. For an hour. There was nothing left to be done, so Husband and I would just retreat to the other side of our very small house and blast our music….loud, to drown her out.

She’s a different kid now, though. So take heart.

  3. That IS encouraging. She is such a great kid – there are moments, though when I want to pull my hair out. *laugh*

(like right now, for instance. It’s 9am and she’s asking for a popsicle, let’s go to the store, etc – OVER and OVER and OVER)

“my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.”
